My Ugly, Yet Amazing Facebook Dating Group Odyssey
Over the summer I had taken on a new role for our family business managing the company Facebook and social presence. That business is in the dating event space. I typically write these articles about what I know and what I have learned recently.
Facebook for singles, especially lonely singles, has become a haven of sorts. And I feel for singles who use Facebook for their singles life, especially those trying to make it the center of their social life.
I had to learn and study the Facebook Singles world for several weeks before I really understood what was happening. And now that I have some insight, what I have to say is Facebook has become the equivalent of a dark and dank singles bar, except with the added danger that anybody you meet in that bar can be a complete scammer, replica, a copy, dangerous, but they could also be a real date, a real love of your life. But don’t bet on it. Don’t trust your mother is really your mother on Facebook.
Meeting another singles person on Facebook would be the equivalent in my mind of wandering around the Port Authority Bus Stop in NYC at midnight trying to meet a decent female date. If you’ve been to the port authority, you’ll understand. You’d meet one eventually, but the likelihood of having a good experience is like a 1% chance, and the looks and stares you would get…
